Agenda: A Battle for Sovereignty (Open Agenda)
The United Nations Security Council stands as one of the most powerful international organs in the world. Unlike any other committee, representatives in the UNSC wield immense authority to shape the state of international affairs and determine the fate of nations. Here, delegates get the chance to experience what it all truly boils down to: A Battle for Sovereignty.
In this council, delegates will engage in high-level debates and strategic negotiations as threats to state autonomy, or even existence, begin to unfold. Survival will depend on each delegate’s ability to discern when cooperation serves their best interest, and when independence becomes more effective. And if history has proven anything, it is that secret diplomacy is far from extinct.
No one knows what triggered the crisis, or what its full extent truly is, except for those in the Council. All we know is that these talks will shape the years to come, and only the most ruthless will prevail.
